This is a picture of me in Suwon, in a neighborhood near us. (I'm new to embedding pictures in my blog, so this might not look very good.)

There are exercise machines at every park. For this one you stand on the circle and twist yourself back and forth. It would be a core workout if there was any resistance at all.

I like my cities to be culturally fragrant. |
I think that is so incredibly smart to put an obstetrician and a gym together. Because fitness is very important leading up to and during pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI also love Dr Choi's OB and Gym clinic- could have helped me shed some of this pregnancy weight
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Susie! What's the significance of Hwaseong?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you asked, Kyle. Hwaseong Fortress was built for two reasons: for King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty to honour and house the remains of his father Prince Sado, who had been murdered by being locked alive inside a rice chest by his own father King Yeongjo after having failed to obey his command to commit suicide, and as a response to the collapse of the Korean front line during the Imjin war. At the time the dominant model for building fortresses in Korea was to make a simple wall for the city or town and a separate mountain fortress to which the people could evacuate in times of war. However, Hwaseong is different in that it was built to include elements of a wall, defensive fortress, and town centre, the four main gates being used as the gates for the town. It is now a UNESCO-designated World Heritage site. (source: Wikipedia.)
